I started Art House 7 after teaching at schools and out out of my house for several years. I am a friend of Elizabeth Ashley, the Taylor Art teacher, and knew she was retiring. We talked about having a space where adults and kids could come and make art. A place where they could have time to create and explore their ideas and learn about the possibilities of various media. In addition to experimenting, I want AH7 to be a place where artists of all levels can hone their skills and develop their ideas. AH7 has more teachers – allowing for a broader scope of classes. Our subjects include, ceramics, collage, drawing, felting, jewelry, painting with watercolor, acrylics and oil, photography, sculpture, printmaking, and web design coding. Above all, I want people to come together and have fun making art.
